We researched many, many waste treatment manufactures and their systems. After

Most systems failed to meet our most important minimum criteria, black water treatment.
Many systems make claims regarding treatment of solids but fail to address treatment of
black water. While treatment of solids is important, it is only part of the needed waste
treatment solution. A standard septic tank system treats solids. If you aren't going to
treat black water, save your money and install a good septic tank system. Otherwise, get
a system that treats black water as well as solids such as Biolytix.
Our second criteria is maintainability. Most composting systems require either weekly
maintenance or electrical power to replace the hand maintenance. This can be costly for
installations 'off the grid'. Again, both septic and Biolytix are viable waste treatment
solutions with little or no maintenance.
We install many septic tank systems. They are economical and work very well in some
soils. However, they do not work well in all soils and require a certain amount of land to
disperse black water. When a septic is not desirable nor appropriate, we will install any
system our clients want. However, we highly recommend the Biolytix solution and have
